The Room
Methane gas swims the air
Fills down in my chest
You stare your love
Press my cheek
Mouth whispers all the rest
Quiet cannot pierce the noise
The pleading crying screams
They shake the door
Cry out our names
To wake us from this dream
The book is scant here
In our hand
On red heads lie our fate
This hating sphere of mud and salt
We flux to soon vacate.
Through ruptured glass within the halls
They seek to grasp our lives
The world is lit
The match is gone
And we are still alive

It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tradgedies of history are caused not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but people being fundimentally people-- Good Omens, Neil Gaiman
